Baton Rouge man convicted in bank fraud case sentenced to 4 years

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A Baton Rouge man was sentenced to four years in federal prison after pleading guilty to financial crimes.

Marvell Jackson Jr., 26, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit bank fraud and theft of mail. In addition to the 48-month sentence, District Judge Brian Jackson sentenced Jackson to serve three years of supervised release and ordered him to pay $378,394 in restitution and forfeit an additional $238,804.45.
