WEST BOUNTIFUL, Utah (ABC4) — A West Bountiful landscaping company, Rubicon Contracting LLC, filed a motion Tuesday to preserve the testimony of 18 workers previously identified by the state as human-trafficking victims. The filing seeks to put the workers under oath before their immigration status expires and they can no longer be subpoenaed.
The motion is part of a federal civil-rights lawsuit, Larsen v. Reyes, which seeks at least $1 billion in damages against former Utah Attorney General Sean D. Reyes and three other officials.
