“Backpacks in the Ballpark” returns for 5th year in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – The Springfield Drifters are hosting a back-to-school event at their game, offering free backpacks, supplies and dinner to local kids.

The “Backpacks in the Ballpark” night is a partnership between the team and The Hope Project, a Lane County-based nonprofit. The Drifters are playing the Benton Elks.
