YELLOW SPRINGS, Ohio (WDTN) – Yellow Springs Schools has delayed the start of the school year to Monday, Aug. 31, instead of its originally scheduled start date on Thursday, Aug. 20.
According to the school, regularly scheduled meetings with construction partners delivered updates and timelines indicating the project was on schedule until recently.
“We know this change impacts our families, many of whom have already made childcare, work, transportation, and family arrangements,” said Superintendent Megan Winston. “This was not a decision we made lightly. Our responsibility is to ensure every student and staff member enters a learning environment that is safe, welcoming, and prepared for a successful school year.”…
