MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – A man charged in connection with a deadly shooting at a Raceway gas station on Eastern Boulevard is no longer facing a capital murder charge, police said.
Dantrail Jones had been charged with capital murder, two counts of assault and discharging a firearm into an occupied building. Police said the murder and assault charges were dropped following a “thorough review of all available evidence.”
The shooting happened in late June at the Raceway gas station on Eastern Boulevard. Two people were killed and two others were injured. Court documents have not detailed what led to the shooting.
Police have charged LaQuinton Judkins with capital murder in the case. Jones remains charged with shooting into an occupied building. Quintin Tyus was charged with assault…
