PORT CLINTON – Little Oakley Wadsworth of Elmore, who was born on July 3, was too young to understand the significance of her presence at the Ottawa County Fair on July 26. She was content to snuggle in her mother’s arms amidst the smells of cotton candy and the sounds of mooing cows.
But the three-week-old was making county history just by being at the fair because she was surrounded by three more generations of her family. Oakley’s July 3 birthday and her visit to the fair during the community picnic hosted by the Ottawa County-America 250 committee on July 26 makes her the unofficial “Baby Ottawa County-America 250.”
