Goat to be kidding: Springfield police round up escaped goats

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — Springfield police had an unusual traffic problem to solve Thursday morning when two goats were found wandering near a busy intersection.

According to a social media post from the Springfield Police Department, officers responded to the area of 48th Street and Main Street, where the pair of goats had escaped and were taking what the department described as a “leisurely walk.”

Photos shared by the department show Officers Amundson and Bragg rounding up the animals and leading them to safety.

The department joked that “traffic was baaa-d enough already” before the goats showed up, adding that Officer Amundson was “the GOAT himself” while helping wrangle the escapees…
