CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — Fire crews extinguished a fire at a West Ashley home Thursday night and found one person dead inside.
The St. Andrews Fire Department responded to the 2300 block of Oakland Road around 8:40 p.m. for a one-story single-family home fire.
Chief Fire Marshal Kevin Berkel said that neighbors informed crews at the scene that someone may still be inside the burning home.
