BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A 67-year-old man appeared in court Friday to face charges in connection with a hit-and-run crash on Union Avenue that killed a teen girl.
Not guilty pleas were entered on behalf of Jeff Don Ferguson and he was ordered held on a total of $150,000 bail ahead of a preliminary hearing scheduled Aug. 20.
Ferguson allegedly hit 17-year-old Love Icelyn Dixon on the night of July 18 in the 3400 block of Union Avenue then drove away, according to police and coroner’s officials.
