Multi-agency response follows swatting call at Caldwell home

CALDWELL, Idaho (CBS2) — Canyon County Sheriff’s deputies responded Friday morning to what they are describing as a dangerous “swatting call.”

Dispatch received a 911 call just before 7:00 a.m. from a juvenile male who was claiming that he had stabbed his mother, was threatening to harm his brother, and would shoot law enforcement who responded. CCSO deputies, Caldwell Police officers, and State troopers responded to the residence on Kimball Ave.

Responding deputies made contact with the people inside, all of whom were uninjured and completely unaware of the incident being described. The residents reported not even knowing of anyone by the name given by the caller…
