Stormy Saturday, more sunshine on Sunday

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A small area of low pressure will migrate from Arkansas to Tennessee on Saturday, bringing the chance for downpours and thunderstorms.

There is no severe weather expected from Saturdays storms, but very heavy rainfall could lead to localized flash flooding. Temperatures will top out in the upper 80s and low 90s.

The area of low pressure will continue to move east on Sunday. This means our area will see more sunshine and higher temperatures. Expect low to mid 90s with the feels like temperature near 100°.

The hot, humid, and mainly dry weather will continue into the workweek. Monday and Tuesday will feature temperatures in the mid 90s with feels like temperatures over 100°.

It looks like afternoon storm chances return to Middle Tennessee and southern Kentucky by Wednesday August 12th and continue for the rest of the week…
