A husband-and-wife TV anchor team whose personal story has captivated morning viewers in Corpus Christi and many others via social media will soon be leaving the station they have called home for nearly four years.
Bryan and Michelle Hofmann, weekday morning anchors at KRIS 6, announced their positions were affected by recent company-wide layoffs and that their final day on air will be Aug. 18.
“The rumors are true… well, SOME of them,” the couple wrote in a social media post announcing their departure, while dismissing speculation that the station was replacing its on-air talent with artificial intelligence or robots.
