Family of 7-year-old boy found dead in Oakley speaks out as suspects plead not guilty

CINCINNATI (WKRC) — Family members of the boy found dead at a home in Oakley are speaking out.

The mother of 7-year-old William Evans and her two roommates are charged with murdering the boy. Kaitlin Evans, Nessa Keany and Kirby Rankin are charged with murder and child endangering. Prosecutors say the three defendants lived together and co-parented William. All three have pleaded not guilty and are being held on $1.1 million bonds.

Police went to the home on Madison Road around 1 p.m. Thursday after Kaitlin showed up at a nearby urgent care. She claimed someone was trying to kill her and her son had been kidnapped. When police went inside the home, they found her son dead and duct-taped in a closet…
