CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) — A newly constructed traffic circle at the Fort Johnson Road and Camp Road intersection will open to vehicle traffic Monday, Aug. 10.
Construction will continue in the area following the opening. Electronic message boards will be placed along Fort Johnson Road and Camp Road to alert drivers to the new traffic pattern. Drivers should use caution, follow posted signage, and remain alert for construction activity.
Pedestrian detour remains in place
Sidewalks near the intersection remain closed while pedestrian improvements are completed. Pedestrians should continue to use the designated detour route along Seaside Lane between Dills Bluff Road and Fort Johnson Road until sidewalk construction is complete.
