MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW)– A few areas of dense, patchy fog are reducing visibility for your morning commute, mainly inland. Another warm and humid day is ahead as typical summertime weather continues into the start of your new workweek. Highs will reach the upper 80s at the coast and the lower 90s across the Pee Dee and border belt. Dew points in the mid to upper 70s will make it feel even warmer today, with heat index values reaching the lower 100s across the area.
We’ll see another day with partly cloudy skies and scattered showers and storms during the afternoon. Not everyone will see rain, so there’s nothing to cancel your plans over, but you may have to dodge a few afternoon showers. Tonight, lows will dip back into the 70s.
From Monday through Thursday, heat index values will range from 105 to 110 degrees, and a heat advisory is possible each day. It will be another week when you’ll want to practice heat safety.
