There’s a steakhouse in downtown Oklahoma City that decided a regular whiskey flight just wasn’t going to cut it anymore. Stock & Bond OKC, located inside The National, Autograph Collection Downtown OKC, has spent years building up one of the biggest American whiskey collections in the state. That’s not a small claim in a state that takes its bourbon seriously. But instead of just letting that collection sit behind the bar for people to order a glass here and there, the restaurant went and turned the whole thing into something closer to a night out than a drink order.
They’re calling it The Bonded Journey, and it’s less “here’s your flight” and more “here’s an experience you’re going to be telling people about later.”
Where The Name Actually Comes From
Before getting into what the experience involves, it helps to know why it’s called what it’s called. “Bonded” isn’t just a word somebody picked because it sounded good next to whiskey. It’s a direct nod to the old “bonded” warehouses that played a real part in shaping American whiskey history. Those warehouses were where barrels aged under government bond, a system that helped establish trust and standards in American spirits production. So the name Stock & Bond isn’t just clever branding — it’s rooted in actual whiskey history, and that history is baked into the entire new experience.
