NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The North Charleston Police Department arrested two men on Monday morning for stealing cooking oil from an oil trap at Northwoods Mall.
According to NCPD, mall security reported that two suspects in a white work van were stealing cooking oil from a tank on the property.
Officers conducted a traffic stop around 1:45 a.m. as the van was leaving the mall. During the traffic stop, the driver and passenger appeared to be covered in grease, and there was a strong odor of cooking oil from inside the vehicle.
