Toledo teen hit by car while riding e-bike; driver fled scene

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – A 14-year-old Toledo boy suffered injuries to his arm, back and legs after a driver struck him in a crosswalk while he was riding his e-bike and then left the scene, his mother said.

Arryian Skiles, a student at Whitmer High School, said he was riding to football practice last Thursday when a driver pulled out at the intersection of Laskey and Ridgedale and hit him in the crosswalk.

“I was crossing in the crosswalk from sidewalk to sidewalk and a lady pulled out while I was crossing, and she hit me off the bike,” Skiles said…
