Three people suspected of breaking into Baton Rouge, Louisiana, self-storage units were taken into custody on Tuesday following an hours-long standoff at a local home. The Baton Rouge Police Department’s Special Response Team and the U.S. Marshal Service blocked off Camellia Avenue near Government Street to serve the arrest warrants, according to sources.
The crimes happened at three different properties between March 2025 and June 2026. The suspects are Brandon Rangeley, 41; Timothy Tyler, 50; and Tyler’s mother, whose name wasn’t released.
Tyler was identified as a suspect in the first theft, which occurred at Life Storage at 2151 N. 3rd St. between March 6 and 14, 2025. Police claim he stole $5,000 worth of items at that time.
