Downtown KC’s ‘Bus Bus Stop’ vandalized months after debut

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A downtown Kansas City bus stop built inside a repurposed bus has been vandalized, with rocks thrown through parts of its windshield, according to Molzer Development, the company that funded and built the installation.

The structure, known as the “Bus Bus Stop,” has only been in place for a few months, the developer said.

‘Defeating’ discovery

Zach Molzer, founder of Molzer Development, said the damage was discovered the morning after it occurred.

“Tuesday night, going out here Wednesday morning and seeing this happen is just kind of defeating, kind of sad of what obviously is a functioning bus stop but also is a piece of art,” Molzer said. “Why can’t we respect things. I’m sure it was just someone mad at the world and wanted to put a rock through the windshield.”…
