LUBBOCK COUNTY, Texas — The Texas Department of Public Safety confirmed that a 41-year-old from Hobbs, New Mexico, was killed following a one-vehicle crash near FM 41 and County Road 1240 on Friday, August 7.
According to a preliminary investigation, at approximately 11:06 p.m. on Friday, DPS officials revealed that the vehicle, driven by Kelly Pope, was traveling westbound on FM 41 when it left the roadway and veered into the south barrow ditch.
