But for a brief and surprisingly important chapter of his life, Marvin Lee Aday, the man who would become Meat Loaf, was a college student right here in Lubbock.
Before He Was Meat Loaf, He Was Marvin
Born in Dallas in 1947, Aday graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1965. That same year, he headed west and enrolled at Lubbock Christian College, now Lubbock Christian University.
