Pedestrian identified after multiple vehicles hit him on 24th Street bridge

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The man killed Monday morning after being struck by multiple vehicles on the 24th Street bridge was identified as 48-year-old Antoine Cobbins of Bakersfield.

The Kern County coroner said that Cobbins was found dead at the scene on August 10, 2026, at approximately 5:35 a.m. by Bakersfield police.

Officers were called early Monday to the 24th Street bridge over the Kern River regarding a report of a pedestrian down in the road.
