Lafayette Native Marc Broussard
It’s not every day we get to see Lafayette native Marc Broussard here in Lake Charles. Broussard grew up around music. His father, Ted Broussard, was a guitarist for the legendary Louisiana group The Boogie Kings. Marc began developing his own musical style at a young age while growing up in Lafayette.
His career took off when he was just 20 years old after releasing an independent EP. He later signed with Island Records and released the song “Home,” which became a popular radio hit and helped launch his national touring career. Over the years, Broussard has released several albums and toured across the country. He has also returned to his independent roots and released several original and cover albums.
