LIBERTY LAKE, Wash. — Law enforcement arrested Donald L. Smiley, 38, at approximately 3:45 p.m. on August 10 at Liberty Park in Spokane, according to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office.
Smiley was wanted on a Spokane County Superior Court felony warrant for First-Degree Assault stemming from a July 25 stabbing in Chattaroy. He was also wanted on a Washington State Department of Corrections warrant for violating community custody terms following a murder conviction, authorities said.
