A traffic crash on Wednesday morning shut down a portion of southbound U.S. Highway 101 near Petaluma, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Around 7:10 a.m., the CHP announced that all southbound Highway 101 lanes near Pepper Road were blocked due to the crash. There was no estimate immediately given on when the freeway would be fully accessible again.
