Dexter City Council approved two agreements formalizing the city’s role in the long-planned Border-to-Border Trail connection between Dexter and Chelsea.
The items, placed on the council’s Aug. 10 consent agenda, included a project agreement and a permanent non-motorized recreation trail easement with the Washtenaw County Parks and Recreation Commission.
Construction began in May on the roughly 0.7-mile segment, which starts at Miller Smith Preserve, follows Dexter-Chelsea Road, crosses the roadway, and will continue to the restored Bell Road Bridge over Mill Creek before ending at Mill Creek Park near Grand Street…
