SUMNER COUNTY, Tenn. (WZTV) — A three-year investigation has led to more than a dozen indictments and arrests in a major drug sales operation in Sumner County.
In August 2023, investigators from federal and local agencies began looking into a drug trafficking group tied to distributing large amounts of illegal drugs. Investigators searched 14 homes connected to the main people under investigation on April 1 and seized 162 pounds of methamphetamine, 22 pounds of cocaine, eight pounds of fentanyl and a large sum of cash.
