Attorney and philanthropist Thomas J. Henry partnered with the Texas YES Box of Dreams program to hand out boxes filled with school supplies to students at Berlanga Elementary on Carroll Lane.
Henry has been holding school supply giveaways for nearly 10 years. He said seeing the look on children’s faces when they receive their box of supplies makes it all worth it.
“They’re just developing their little brains and they’re developing their personalities and so being able to see that at these giveaways throughout Texas is really, really exciting because, you know, we all like seeing the beginning journey of life and that’s what we’re seeing, the beginning journey of their education and their development,” Henry said…
