CHEATHAM COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — A Cheatham County traffic stop turned violent when a deputy was shot at on Wednesday afternoon.
It happened around 4:15 p.m. at the Cheatham County-Davidson County line near Eddie’s Market along U.S. Route 70.
According to officials with the Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy attempted to stop a van with a driver wanted on felony charges.

The driver then fired at the deputy, but the deputy did not fire back, officials said.
