NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — An award-winning former Metro Nashville Public Schools teacher who resigned earlier this year took her concerns directly to the school board Tuesday, alleging problems within the district contributed to her decision to leave the classroom.
Samira Hardcastle taught art at John F. Kennedy Middle School in Antioch. This past school year, she was named Teacher of the Year at her school and was also recognized as a Blue Ribbon Teacher of the Year for the district.
