Swede Hollow Cafe will close after nearly three decades in St. Paul

After 29 years, Swede Hollow Cafe is closing on Aug. 31.

The cafe at 725 E. 7th St. in St. Paul made the announcement Thursday on social media, saying that the physical location will close, but ownership plans to continue hosting pop-ups, offering catering, and appearing at community events.

During its long history, the cafe built a reputation for its quiche and rolls, as well as its peaceful garden patio.

Details about why it’s closing were not shared and representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comment…
