BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) — A lane closure on Interstate 40 East caused traffic delays in the morning hours of Aug. 14.
The closure, which was near Exit 44 and also U.S. 74 Alt in Buncombe County, was first reported by the North Carolina Department of Transportation a little after 7 a.m.
According to the NCDOT, the lane closure was due to continuing contractor work for pavement repair. Just before 2 p.m., the NCDOT reported that all lanes were back open…
