Chances of inclement weather in Western North Carolina the weekend of Aug 15 have continued to fluctuate, according to National Weather Service predictions.

As of Thursday, Aug, 13, the weather service predicted up to a 60% chance of showers and possible thunderstorms during the weekend. The agency also warned of severe thunderstorms possible in the Western N.C. area on Thursday afternoon, Aug. 13. However, as of Friday, Aug. 14, predictions had fluctuated again, with certainty falling once more to a maximum of only around 30% certainty all weekend.
