Cheektowaga, N.Y. (WBEN) – Multiple teenagers were taken into custody Friday after being tracked down in a stolen vehicle in the Town of Cheektowaga.
Sheriff’s deputies working an Operation Key Fob detail tracked the vehicle to the area of Genesee Street after the vehicle had been reported stolen Thursday out of the Town of Amherst.
After deputies boxed the vehicle in, the 18-year-old operator attempted to evade arrest by maneuvering the vehicle over a curb. However, this caused one of the tires to detach from the vehicle. The disabled stolen vehicle continued on for a short distance before crashing into a parked vehicle…
