Dog dies inside 140-degree car, affidavit says, Nashville man charged

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — A Nashville man is facing an aggravated animal cruelty charge after a 7-year-old pit bull died after being left inside a car, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

The affidavit identifies the defendant as Benjamin L. Dawson and says the incident happened Aug. 13 at an apartment complex on Apache Trail in Davidson County.
