(FOX40.COM) — The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office is warning the community of scams where the callers are pretending to be with the sheriff’s office.
SCSO said the sheriff’s office has received an increase in reports of scammers calling community members and using real names and titles from SCSO. The scammers claim to be employees and attempt to gather personal information or intimidate victims into sending money.
