DIGHTON, Mass. (WJAR) — An 86-year-old woman was taken by helicopter to a hospital from her Dighton home after sustaining serious injuries in what police believe was an attack from a family dog.
According to the Bristol County District Attorney’s office, the incident happened at around 2 p.m. in a house on Oak St. occupied by two people and an Austrian Shepherd mix. The woman received severe facial injuries in the attack.
