The Alabama Department of Corrections is one of seven new agencies within the state that have signed onto a federal program to collaborate with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
On Thursday, ICE updated their list of local and state agencies that are participating in the 287g program nationwide.
Since the last update to the list on July 20, seven Alabama law enforcement agencies had signed on which includes:
- The Alabama Department of Corrections
- Atmore Police Department
- Clio Police Department
- Coaling Police Department
- Owens Cross Roads Police Department
- Springville Police Department
- Wetumpka Police Department
