A massive, two-story supermarket is coming to Main Street in West Orange, after township officials approved the project.
The West Orange planning board on Wednesday unanimously voted to approve a project that would turn the former Walgreens and Americana Diner lots on Main Street into Leon Marketplace.
The property owners, 262 Main Street Realty LLC and 270 Main Street Realty LLC, the owners of property, are planning to construct the two-story building at 262-270 Main Street, and name it Leon Marketplace, the application said.
The supermarket will have 13,934 square feet on the first floor and 5,810 square feet on the second floor, according to the site plan application. The second floor will be used for storage only and won’t be accessible to customers…
