KENEDY – Sinton’s girls won the varsity team championship, and the Pirates finished second in the boys standings on Saturday, Aug. 15 at the Kenedy Invitational XC26 at Gulley Park.
Addison Parra led the Sinton girls by winning the two-mile varsity race in 14 minutes, 0.63 seconds. The Lady Pirates posted a team score of 15, finishing ahead of runner-up Kenedy’s 48.
In the three-mile boys race, Sinton scored 43 points to place second behind San Antonio Spartans Homeschool, which won with 24. San Antonio Stacey finished third with 72, followed by Orange Grove with 79.
