DENHAM SPRINGS — Seventh Ward Elementary continues to honor the memory and legacy of a crossing guard who was hit and killed by an alleged drunk driver while working outside a Denham Springs school in April.
Katy Wells was a beloved crossing guard in the community who worked for the school system and sheriff’s office for 40 years, helping children safely cross the street.
