Castle Rock caregiver sentenced after alledgly stealing more than $110K worth of jewelry from family of disabled son

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) — A Castle Rock caregiver was sentenced to 90 days in prison after alledgly admitting to stealing more than $110,000 in jewelry from the family of a quadriplegic son she was caring for.

The 23rd Judicial District Attorney’s Office (DA) says that 32-year-old Elsa “Gabby” Montejo-Fuentes had been working for the family for five years when the family made a report in January 2024 of a missing wedding ring and band.
