Asheville Parks and Recreation will hold a community workday at Dr. George Washington Carver Edible Park on Friday, August 21. The session is scheduled from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the park beside Stephens-Lee Recreation Center.
Participants should bring work gloves and a water bottle for the morning program. The city describes the gathering as an opportunity to work alongside neighbors while helping tend and harvest the public food forest.
