LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – The Clarksville Police Department is defending itself against public criticism following a bust that led to the seizure of 44 pounds of cannabis.
Police argue it isn’t just hard drugs that bring dangerous secondary crimes into a community. In a public statement on the department’s Facebook page, officials addressed critics who often downplay the severity of offenses related to cannabis by saying “It’s just weed.”
