Muscogee County School District Board approves changes in leadership

During its monthly meeting Monday night, the Muscogee County School District Board unanimously approved two leadership changes recommended by superintendent David Lewis:

  • Appointment of Stephanie Dalton-Faulk as MCSD executive director of elementary education
  • Appointment of James Short as assistant principal of Rothschild Middle School.

Stephanie Dalton-Faulk

Dalton-Faulk has been an educator for 25 years, all in MCSD, including as director of school and district effectiveness since November 2024.

She began her career as a Title I intervention teacher and a fifth-grade teacher at Lonnie Jackson Academy (2001-05). She worked as an academic coach at Lonnie Jackson (2005-06) and Rigdon Road Elementary School (2006-11).

Dalton-Faulk was then promoted to assistant principal, shared between Rigdon Road and Georgetown Elementary School (2011-13). She was principal of Forrest Road Elementary School (2013-18) and Blanchard Elementary School (2018-24)…
