WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (KUTV) — A West Valley City man, who wished to remain anonymous, has lived in his home on 3690 West for roughly 50 years. Three years ago, he found out he may have to move to make way for an expanding Bangerter Highway.
This year, he got the official letter in the mail telling him it was happening.
“We were on the list, our area was on a list to be removed,” the man said. “That was three years ago and they didn’t know when, they couldn’t tell us. And that’s been kind of hard because they basically held us hostage for three years here. We couldn’t sell it, we couldn’t do anything else. So that was a little tough. But we knew it was coming that long ago.”
