Agencies investigate false flooding alert issued in Albany area

ALBANY — Some residents across this region of upstate New York received an alert on their smartphones Wednesday that a flash flood warning would be in effect until 3:30 p.m.

Skies, however, were clear, with no weather threat in sight.
