ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Velvet Robot Coffee Lab has announced it will be permanently closing its Rockford store next month.
“Due to circumstances with our building, we have to leave the space that Velvet Robot has called home for the past 5 years. And right now, we don’t know exactly what’s next,” owner Justin Carner wrote on Facebook. “We don’t have another location to announce. We don’t have some perfectly polished plan waiting in the wings. What we do know is this: We aren’t ready for Velvet Robot to be over.”
The coffee shop, located at 1292 S Alpine Road, announced it will be shutting down on September 19th, just over one year after the franchise closed its Roscoe location…
