Man released after gunfire arrest in Spokane Valley neighborhood

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — A man was arrested on August 13 after neighbors reported gunfire at a home on North Herald Road, however, he was later released on his own recognizance following a court order, according to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO).

Deputies responded around 7:40 p.m. to the 800 block of North Herald Road following reports of a white man in a brown shirt discharging a firearm in his backyard. Upon arrival, deputies established a perimeter around the home and warned neighbors about the danger.

SCSO officials noted that Air 2 provided deputies with live updates from the sky. Deputies moved for cover after a gunshot was fired, and Air 2 recorded the suspect discharging what appeared to be a pistol into the air from a back porch…
